Why I Never Missed the Dentist Again After This Toothache
So, I used to think missing a dental check-up wasn’t that big of a deal. Really, who likes them? But then came the day when everything would change.
The Unexpected Pain
Until this morning, and without warning, it suddenly attacked me-a nagging toothache. Minor at first, yet all I hoped for was that it was something that would go away. Then, well into the night, an aching sensation became so bad that I couldn’t sleep.
Late-Night Remedies
I tried everything: painkillers, ice packs, even some old clove oil that I found in the cupboard. Nothing worked, and I was pacing around my kitchen at 3 am, just wishing the pain would stop.
Desperate Call
Early next morning, I called the Coquitlam dental clinic. They were very understanding and fitted me in. Sitting in that waiting room, I felt both nervous and relieved.
Facing the Music
It turned out I had a cavity that had really gotten much worse over time. The dentist told me that it would have been an easy fix if I had come in sooner. Now, I had to get a root canal. Yikes.
The Procedure
I was pretty scared-no lie. But the staff there was great; they walked me through everything. Before I knew it, the procedure was over and the pain was gone.
Lesson Learned
Now I know: by not going to the dentist, I wasn’t saving a dime. As a matter of fact, it cost me more: more in pain and more in money. Now I am all about those check-ups.
Taking Care Now
I’m brushing twice a day, flossing most days, even using mouthwash. It’s funny how such a little scare can change your habits.
Sharing My Story
Well, I just wanted to make this known in case others are avoiding the dentist like I had been. Let me tell you-it’s just not worth the aggravation.
